Suzanne Kasler: Part I

At the top of my favorite designer list stands Suzanne Kasler. She has an incredible aesthetic and a unique way of mixing colors and styles. I admire the way she throws pink in to many of her designs, and with that the way the spaces never become too feminine. She is a true inspiration to the way that I design, I am constantly referencing her book Inspired Interiors.

Foyer.

Stairway - I love the placement of the art.

Dining Room - those crystal obelisks are gorgeous!
The black Louis chairs are an unexpected addition to this monochromatic space.

Beautiful Kitchen.

 Living Room.
Note: The detailed window treatments.

Turquoise Dining Room.
I like the mix of chairs, and the high gloss paint on the crown molding.

 Glamorous Bedroom!

Formal White Living Room.
Notice the pink trim detail on the bottom of the chairs. I love that!
Details like that are what makes a room special.

Rustic Bedroom.
I love the horizontal paneling.

I have always been attracted to these two little benches and the corner settee. They're upholstered in a little square ScalamandrĂ© fabric.

So there is a little taste of Suzanne Kasler! Part II will be my favorite products designed by Suzanne, check back this week!

Wallpapered Powder Rooms

Cole & Sons - "Woods"
I like this gold mirror on the black and white paper.

Gorgeous Marbleized Paper.
The trim around the perimeter is a great unexpected touch.
I love this mirror as well.

Cole & Sons Paper
Cute little black and white bathroom.

Manuel Canovas paper for Cowtan & Tout.
Beautiful large scale print in pink!

The Famous Scalamandré Zebra Paper.

 Toile Paper.
Wrapping the ceiling in the same paper eliminates the boundaries, making it feel larger. I like doing this with paint in small rooms too!

Upholstered Headboards...

Featured in Elle Decor (Mar 2012) this stylish headboard belongs to Jackie Astier in her NYC apartment. Love this super luxurious velvet headboard in combination with the grasscloth walls.

 Upholstered Screen!

 Floating tufted white headboard.

Love this simple, yet eclectic room.
Upholstered panels with trim molding.

 Curved Tufted Headboard.
Note: Metallic Osborne and Little Wallpaper!

Philip Gorrivan Fabric for Highland Court.
Interesting geometric velvet, comes in other colors as well!

Nicely shaped charcoal headboard with coral accents.
Note: Dorothy Draper side table, I'd kill for one of those.

Love this whimsy bedroom - that's all I have to say!

I'll now be dreaming for the perfectly shaped headboard...

Happy Valentine's Day!

All Pink.

 Suzanne Kasler Dining Room

Old world looking room in a peachy-pink.

 Jonathan Adler Foyer.
It's a little over the top but I like it!

 Soft and subtle nude color.
Mixes well with the chocolate brown leather and creamy woodwork.
Note: walls & ceiling are the same color.

Windsor Smith Living Room.
Look at all the color! And all the different shapes - this is truly eclectic!

Pretty Pink Door!

Kitchen Of The Week

Windsor Smith

Windsor Smith's Black Kitchen.
I love the way this room has such an easy-going feeling, it appears comfortable AND usable. It's a beautifully light filled space, with a balance of masculine and feminine, and the flowers add a fresh pop of color.

Roman Shades

Malachite Shades with Black & Gold Banding.
Très Chic!

Glamorous Room with Contrasting Black Shades & White Panels.

Double Layer of Roman Shades.
Relaxed on the bottom, flat on the top.

Sheer Romans Under Panels.
I especially like this look because the sheer shade will soften the light coming in but not block it completely. Also loving the trim on the panels.

 Heavy Linen Flat Romans

Simple Roman Shades with Black Banding.

Gorgeous relaxed shades in linen or burlap. They add a soft frenchy feel to this room.

Simple cream shades on these floor to ceiling windows.

Eclectic Room with Woven Wood Roman Shades.
