Stripes: Walls, Rugs & Fabric.

Butler's Pantry w/ horizontal stripes
Interesting little twist - I like the chocolate brown & white!

Nate Berkus Apartment
Love, love, love this table cloth!
...and look at those gorgeous candlesticks!!

 Lavender & Cream
It looks so sophisticated with the antiques and art.

Miles Redd
Black & White stripes in a more classic setting.

A bit more fun and fresh w/ the red & white.
Notice the small white stripe at the top - adds interest.

Black & White Rug
What a stately bathroom!
Notice the vertical stripe rounds up the ceiling, bringing the eye straight up.

 Suzanne Kasler
Striped dining chairs - ran horizontally.
This is such a delightful little foyer, all black & white.
And natural greenery as an accent color.

Last but not least, this simple almost all white room.
Love the contrasting black and white rug & pillows.

Whether you're bold enough to paint stripes on the wall, horizontal or vertical, or you just add a touch of stripe to your room it's a great visual. As you can see the butler's pantry photo adds great interest but isn't harsh on the eyes, they chose softer colors than black and white, and also painted wide horizontal stripes. Something like that bathroom with the copper tub isn't a main living space so it's a bit more intense. Where will you be adding stripes?

Kitchen of the Week:

There is something very calming about this kitchen. It looks fresh yet a little rustic and contemporary at the same time? Difficult to describe, but I like it! The recessed panel cabinets are painted in a beautiful green-gray, paired with a stainless steel backsplash, a rustic wood ceiling, and warm creamy marble counter tops. An unusual combination of products, but it sure does work together in this kitchen!

Round Tables

Do you have a round table?
Every home can stand to have a round table, whether it be a foyer table, dining table, or just simply a side table. They're great for holding flowers or greenery and of course books! As always with my posts I try to show all different styles of design using one particular element. A round table is definitely a staple items that can fit in with any design style.

  Traditional Foyer
Oversized stems, a globe, and some books, it's as simple as that!
Also, I absolutely love the ottomans!

  Simple and Sophisticated.

 Reading Room?
It's hard to tell if this is a studio apartment (a gorgeous one if so) or an extra library like room.
Love, love, love the neutral palette with a pop of pink, very elegant.
 Foyer Table.
Eclectic and Awesome!

 Breakfast Area.
Notice the table looks on the more traditional side, but paired with modern chairs gives it a very clean look.
(Visual Comfort Pendant)

Tangerine Orange Table w/ Chocolate Walls.
The area rug is just perfect with it. I bet that table was a garage sale/craigslist find with a fresh coat of paint!

Formal Den.

And last but not least...I'm guessing a foyer?
I wish I knew the designer on this one! The room has such a different feel to me - very interesting.

So...what do you use your round table for?
