There is something very calming about this kitchen. It looks fresh yet a little rustic and contemporary at the same time? Difficult to describe, but I like it! The recessed panel cabinets are painted in a beautiful green-gray, paired with a stainless steel backsplash, a rustic wood ceiling, and warm creamy marble counter tops. An unusual combination of products, but it sure does work together in this kitchen!

Round Tables
Do you have a round table?
Every home can stand to have a round table, whether it be a foyer table, dining table, or just simply a side table. They're great for holding flowers or greenery and of course books! As always with my posts I try to show all different styles of design using one particular element. A round table is definitely a staple items that can fit in with any design style.
Traditional Foyer
Oversized stems, a globe, and some books, it's as simple as that!
Also, I absolutely love the ottomans!
Simple and Sophisticated.
Reading Room?
It's hard to tell if this is a studio apartment (a gorgeous one if so) or an extra library like room.
Love, love, love the neutral palette with a pop of pink, very elegant.
Foyer Table.
Eclectic and Awesome!
Breakfast Area.
Notice the table looks on the more traditional side, but paired with modern chairs gives it a very clean look.
(Visual Comfort Pendant)
Tangerine Orange Table w/ Chocolate Walls.
The area rug is just perfect with it. I bet that table was a garage sale/craigslist find with a fresh coat of paint!
Formal Den.
And last but not least...I'm guessing a foyer?
I wish I knew the designer on this one! The room has such a different feel to me - very interesting.
So...what do you use your round table for?

New Favorite Book
The Perfectly Imperfect Home:
How to Decorate and Live Well
Deborah Needleman
I highly suggest purchasing this book, I am thoroughly enjoying it! Although, it makes me miss Domino Magazine all over again (still kicking myself for not saving every single issue). The text is great, and the watercolor drawings are fabulous!

Animal Print:
Brunschwig & Fils Tiger and Leopard Velvet
Brunschwig & Fils first introduced the iconic leopard and tiger silk velvets in 1956, they have never been out of production! Proving the timeless nature of this design.
Martyn Lawrence Bullard
Tamara Mellon’s Manhattan Living Room, founder of Jimmy Choo.
What a luxurious foundation for this room!
Mary McDonald
All over leopard print - so sophisticated looking.
Miles Redd
A tiny pop of leopard on the sofa.
(Not to mention this is my favorite Farrow & Ball paint color, Hague Blue)
Hamptons Kitchen of Reed Krakoff
Zebra hide & custom-made turquoise ostrich leather from Coach
House Beautiful
Beautifully balanced room with a touch of animal print on the ottoman.
House Beautiful
Eclectic Los Angeles Living Room
Zebra print pillows on those beautiful wicker chairs.
And lastly my 1stdibs find...
Cool Empire style chair w/ leopard print fabric!
Animal Print is very popular at the moment, dare I say trendy. If you can add it in the right way, I believe every home can use a little animal print (my favorite is leopard) and therefor it will not be trendy. Mary McDonald's room being the exception here (most people cannot pull that off!) animal print can be very minimalistic or add to the eclecticism of a room. Either way, I think it's a great, classic touch!

Kitchen of the Week:
This kitchen is so pure, it's a bit out of the ordinary and certainly not for everyone. I bet this is a neat little country house, that is simplistic in every way. You can see the sink and cooktop in this photo, looks like the table doubles as a cutting board. The detailing is wonderful and doesn't jump out at you in an obvious way.
I think I could live there...!
